CONCRETE REPAIR
Repair of concrete structures that have been damaged by weather, corrosion, fire or explosion is a natural function of Gunite.
Because of its adaptability and ability to develop bond strength to properly prepared concrete surfaces that provide higher strength values than original material.
The properties of Gunite that enable it to reintegrate fractured concrete are analogous to arc welding in steel construction.
The Gunite process involves spraying the shotcrete material onto a substrate either existing or boarded, once installed the surface is troweled to provide a smooth finish to meet existing structure profile.
Prior to Gunite installation the repair section requires removal of damaged concrete and fixing reinforcing bars and mesh to substrate.
The advantage of Gunite installation is that it can be applied in small or large quantities to heights of 100 meters from ground or in confined spaces such as corridors.
Gunite concrete repairs have been successfully installed on Buildings, Bridges, Wharves, Embankments and Drains etc. with great success.
